If you take a cottage on a beach like Calangute, you will be very close to the main cities like Panaji and Mapusa. Or you could go on a desolate beach too where the prices will be cheaper too.

Hotels – Goa has a surfeit of three-star and four-star hotels and they make excellent places to stay for locals and foreigners alike. Most have their own restaurants and bars. They are usually located in the heartland of main cities for easy sightseeing during the day. The five star hotels are few and far between, most are on the beaches and always require advance booking.

Resorts – Some popular resorts here will provide you the entire holidays in Goa experience. They will give you your suite, food, sightseeing and even cruise on the river in Panaji. Advance booking is usually needed.
