Goa Attractions and Things to See and Do
Tourists have their holidays in Goa for a variety of reasons. There are so many things to do and see here.
The most popular are the various beaches. These range from the extremely crowded ones (Colva and Calangute) to the extremely silent ones (Vagator and Porvorim). You can spend your entire holidays in Goa on the beaches because they have several options for accommodations. Even nightclubs are situated on most beaches.
Sightseeing is a grand experience in Goa. You must not miss out on Goan churches which are resplendent with age-old Portuguese architecture. The Bom Basilica and Santa Fe are world heritage sites. Similarly, there are two extremely famous temples here, the Shantadurga and the Mangueshi Temples.
One must not miss out the shopping experience in Goa. The cities of Panaji and Mapusa are choc-a-bloc with relics and antiques that you will feel highly tempted to carry home. These are very inexpensive too, you can carry a great memento of your time in Goa for less than $10! And if you want some of the best deals, just head off to Anjuna Beach on any Wednesday evening when they have their flea market.
Nightlife is quite boisterous in Goa and the beaches are the main hubs during this time. There are parties held on the beach itself and there are cruises leaving into the Arabian Sea which return in just an hour! The cruise is more about an exposé to Goan local culture than anything else.
